For the last couple of years, I’ve had this folder on my laptop where I save ideas of things I’d like to do.

Year after year I’ve been adding to that folder but never really giving life to any of those ideas.

Seeing as I’ve always been a crafty craftsy J person, I’ve collected a lot of craft ideas. Some for the sake of creating and some that can potentially earn me money.

I’ve also wanted to start a blog for as long as I can remember.

What has been holding me back? Laziness for one – at least as far as the crafts go.

Who has time to pursue a hobby between work, kids and… life?

As far as the blog goes, it’s been this crippling self-doubt.

What was I going to write about?

Was I even qualified to share my opinions?

On anything?

Would it be interesting enough to hold an audience?

My writing is nothing to write home about!

What if…

I could go on forever.

Then I had to submit a project idea for a class I’m taking.

Even then, I avoided the blog. I proposed to work on the corporate identity of a realtor friend’s company.

My instructor must have sensed that I wasn’t standing a hundred percent behind that idea. She encouraged me to pitch another idea

So here I am (That song from Victorious is now playing in my head. (Here I am, once again feeling lost now and then… how appropriate!)

If you know that song you’re either too young or like me, you’ve been watching teen programming for a long time. How sad.

That Ladies and Gentlemen, is how Mama Approved was born.

I realized I could share my experience on something I know a little about.

Seeing as my career in this field spans well over a decade, I’ll say I know a little more than a little on motherhood, parenting and the guesswork that often goes on in between.

On mama approved, we will also search wide for trends on fashion, style, décor, design, books, DIY projects and the most up-to-date concepts in the children’s market.

Welcome on board,

Mama Approved
